Brian is a retired Lt. Colonel, from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. He has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. In addition, he received his South Carolina Polygraph License after completing his polygraph training at the National Center for Credibility Assessment. He started his law enforcement career with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department in 1998 after completing his service honorably in the United States Marine Corps. He was transferred to the Criminal Investigations Division in 2001. He has investigated numerous types of crimes to include but not limited to homicides, robbery, sexual assaults, child abuse, and vulnerable adult abuse. He retired from law enforcement in 2023 after 25 years of service. During the course of his career he has had extensive and continuous training in the art of interviewing and interrogation and conducting criminal investigations.
David retired from law enforcement after 43 years of experience. He has 40 years of experience in investigations. He led a large investigative unit for over 23 years. He has been a licensed polygraph examiner for over 30 years. He is a graduate of: the University of South Carolina; the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy; the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy in Georgia; and the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. He has extensive experience in investigations and testifying in major criminal prosecutions in local, state and federal courts. He has served as a Police Chief, a Deputy Chief and a criminal investigator. David Wilson has attended numerous training courses. He stays current with polygraph advances and investigative techniques.
